Lamar State College Port Arthur ("College") is seeking competitive proposals ("Request for Proposals" or "RFPs") for the selection of a qualified and capable vendor(s) to provide HVAC repair services to the College. Work shall be done on a time and material basis. Work will generally be limited to small jobs. This Solicitation sets forth the terms, conditions, and requirements for Respondents to be considered for this work. The College expects to enter into one or more contract(s) with the selected individual(s) or firm(s) to provide the services as further described in Section 5 of this RFP. The length of such Contract shall for two (2) years beginning September 1, 2022, with options to renew in one-year increments for one (1) additional year if both parties agree in writing. If the College and the "best value" successful Respondent(s) are unable to sign, negotiate and execute a Contract, the College reserves the right to seek alternative Respondent(s) to make an award. Should funds be unavailable or not appropriated by the legislature of the State of Texas during any period of this contract, the contract is subject to cancellation without penalty. This option is maintained to reinstate and continue the contract should funds become available within a reasonable length of time. Should funds not be available for continuation neither the owner nor any of its agents shall be liable for discharge of such obligations.
