Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work will be performed under one (1) contract. The Project for which the Work under the Contract Documents may be the whole or only a part is generally described as follows: Furnish all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work necessary to construct a 70-foot tunnel liner system near the entrance to the Southern Portal of the Brady Tunnel including the structural steel and decking erection, concrete grout, Wick style drains, and concrete footings, and all other required appurtenances to complete the system. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. All employees must be paid the Prevailing Minimum Wages established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor & Industry. Verification of compliance must be provided by all Contractors, including Subcontractors. The Successful Bidder must be able to sign as the Co-Permittee on the NPDES Permit for the project, and have approved, PennDOT Work Class Codes S8 and T3 for Transportation Tunnels, and Erection of Fabricated Steel Members, respectively. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check, or Bid Bond naming as payee or oblige, as applicable, Clarion County and Armstrong Trails, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute the Agreement and to furnish a Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and a Maintenance Bond, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, all in the respective forms provided in the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder will also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Bidding Documents. All Contractors and Subcontractors must provide for compliance and adherence to applicable Contract Compliance Regulations for Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment. Bidding and Contract Requirements for the contract is described in detail in the Plans and Contract Documents, including but not limited to: Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and Pennsylvania Prevailing Rates. No Bids may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled time of the closing of bids. Armstrong Trails reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, to waive any defects or irregularities in the Bids and to accept any Bid which, in its judgment, is for its best interest. Bids shall remain open for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening.
