Site work for a water / sewer project in Detroit, Oregon. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of March 7, 2024, per owner, an engineer has been identified. There is no general contractor yet, bidding is expected Spring-Summer 2025. Construction anticipated Fall 2025. Marion County Community Services Department (County) is currently seeking proposals from qualified professional firms, herein referred to as proposer, to provide cost benefit analysis and selection services to assist the County in placement location site analysis and selection. After completion of site analysis and selection, the County may choose to exercise the option to utilize the proposer’s services for subsequent tasks including engineering, permitting, and construction management support for the Detroit Marinas Excavation and Resiliency Project. The Detroit Marina Excavation and Resiliency project will look to support the economy of the North Santiam Canyon through the strategic excavation and placement of 162,000 cubic yards of sediment underneath the existing boat docks of the Detroit and Kane’s Marinas. This action will allow the marinas to operate at the lower lake level seen in the latter half of the summer lake seasons. The County’s goal of the project will be to provide viability and stability for these anchor businesses that are vital to the regional economy.
