Squamish adventure centre energy retrofit. TIMELINE: Request for proposal seeking an experienced building energy consultant to complete a two-part energy retrofit study for the Squamish Adventure Centre (SAC), has closed and a preferred proponent has been chosen. Part one is a feasibility study to compare two potential innovative glazing technologies and a conventional curtain wall retrofit approach for upgrading the facility's extensive glazed curtain wall to achieve natural gas savings. Part two is an engineering analysis and design study to determine the feasibility of installation and integration of gas absorption heat pump (GAHP) technology at the SAC. Further update may be available in fall, 2023.
