Description

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Reading, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of rehabilitation of Filter No. 7, or as an Alternate Bid rehabilitation of Filters 7 and 3. The Project includes the removal and replacement of the existing media, removal of existing air scour piping, replacement of the existing clay tile underdrain system, replacement of the gravel and media, repair of concrete delamination and spalls, repair of concrete cracks in six filter troughs, and application of high performance coating. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 7/15/2022 4:00 PM Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this projects and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Reading Area Water Authority, Owner hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received.
