The City Council of Maplewood, Minnesota will receive bids for the construction of the following project within the city limits on the basis of payment for the work: Maplewood, Minnesota Maple Hills Stormwater Forcemain & Parkway Drive Improvements, City Project 21-09 The project will include the following approximate quantities: 397 TON Bituminous Base, Binder & Wear Course Mixture 110 TON Bituminous Nonwearing Course Mixture 300 LF Bituminous Road Pavement Saw & Seal/Joint Adhesive 2,700 SY Bituminous Pavement Milling 350 LF Concrete Curb and Gutter 33 SY Commercial & Residential Concrete Driveway 4,451 SF Concrete Sidewalk 412 LF Install Chain Link Fence 1,000 SY Sod and Turf Establishment 1,830 LF Pavement Striping (Epoxy Multi-Component) 360 LF Storm Forcemain - 6" HDPE (Directional Drilled) 130 LF Storm Forcemain - 6" HDPE (Open Cut) 410 LF Water Main Installation - 8" HDPE (Existing Cast Iron Pipe Bursting) - Alternate 1 The project is to begin on or about August 1, 2022 and be completed by October 30, 2022.Proposal is for the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials and performing all work in connection with the above stated construction and numerous related work items in accordance with the plans and specifications.All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the City of Maplewood, Minnesota, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, conditioned that if the bidder is the successful bidder, they will enter into a contract in accordance with said bid and will furnish such performance bonds as are specified. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least 90 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, without the consent of the owner. The City of Maplewood reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The City of Maplewood also reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities and deviations; however, any bid which contains a material variance from plans and specifications will be rejected. A material variance is one that gives a bidder a substantial benefit or advantage not enjoyed by other bidders. Site Directions: From Hwy 36, head south on TH 61 to Parkway Drive and turn right onto Parkway Drive. The project area is from the Parkway Drive/TH 61 intersection southwest on Parkway to the corner of Larpenteur Avenue, then west approximately 250 feet on Larpenteur Avenue.
