Renovation of a municipal facility in Darien, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,587-square-foot municipal facility.

As of February 8, 2023, construction has been completed, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The Town of Darien hereby gives notice that sealed bids will be received at Town of Darien Hall for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for Town of Darien Facility Renovations. The work for which bids are asked includes the following: The work for which bids are asked includes, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the Town of Darien Facility Renovations located at N2826 Foundry Road, Darien, WI 53114. The bid will include finish upgrades to interior break room, board room, entry and toilet room areas including new finishes and fixtures. In addition, new flooring, an automatic door operator, acoustical ceilings, wood doors, toilet partitions and accessories, painting, plumbing and electrical work are included in the scope of work. An alternate bid is also requested for high bay lighting replacement in the Town garage. All work will be issued under a single prime contract for general construction. All bidders shall bid in accordance with, and shall bid upon the bid forms included in the Contract Documents. Drawings, Project Manual and other bidding documents may be seen at the Bid + Network, Madison and Angus-Young Associates, Inc, Janesville, WI. Electronic Bidding documents may be obtained on Angus Young Associates FTP website by contacting the office by phone (608) 756-2326. A deposit will not be required for use of the electronic format bidding documents. All contractors are responsible for the viewing/downloading of the correct documents for the purpose of providing a sufficient bid. As holders of these documents, you are acknowledging your requirements to obtain any addenda or other materials prior to bidding and/or construction of the project. Because the Owner and Angus Young Associates has no control over the means of printing these documents, you take the responsibility for verifying that you have all documents and that they have been printed correctly. Neglect of the above requirements will not be accepted as reason for delay in the work or additional compensation. The Contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of Section 66.0901(Towns) or Section 62.15 (Villages and Cities) of Wisconsin Statutes, as well as any other applicable sections thereof. Prevailing wage rates are not applicable to this project. 2015 Wisconsin Act 55 (the budget bill) repealed the state prevailing wage law for local governmental units such as villages, towns, cities, school districts, or sewerage districts effective January 1, 2017. A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to Town of Darien in the amount of 10% of the bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee. If the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by Town of Darien. Failure on the part of the bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to Town of Darien as liquidated damages. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Town of Darien for 100% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Town of Darien reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the Town of Darien. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the schedule opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner or Architect.
