*The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The South Dakota Department of the Military, on behalf of the South Dakota Army National Guard, Construction and Facilities Management Office, is soliciting Statements of Interest from firms interested in providing professional Architectural and Engineering design services for the 466532 - Extend Water/Sewer Services - West Camp project located at 1001 44th St, Rapid City, SD 57702 This project will involve site investigative, design development, and bidding services for installing infrastructure to connect existing latrines/facilities to water and sanitary sewer services at the National Guard's West Camp Rapid located on 44th St west of Stevens High School. The preferred option for water is to tie into the City of Rapid City water main at the north edge of the property, extend the main within the Camp, and provide service lines to existing latrines. An alternative option for water would be constructing improvements to the existing well and installation of water mains to connect existing latrines/facilities. The preferred option for sanitary sewer is to install a sanitary sewer lift station and force main which would tie into the City manhole located on 44th Street near the northeast corner of West Camp. An alternative option for sanitary sewer would be installation of septic systems and drain fields. Additional services such as construction administration/inspection will be negotiated at a later date should the project proceed to the construction phase. The estimated construction budget for the project is $495,000 but be advised that this number is subject to change.
