The Commissioners of Union Drainage District No. Two of the Towns of Hamilton, County of Lee and Hahnaman, County of Whiteside are seeking bids for ditch repair caused due to excessive erosion from heavy rain and flooding. Repairs will be made on an as needed basis. The ditches need to be restored to their former grade, utilizing dirt from the center whenever possible to rebuild the banks, and rip rap added to prevent future erosion caused by high waters. GIS coordinates for the project location are latitude 41.657259, longitude -89.630651 Union Drainage District No. Two of the Towns of Hamilton, County of Lee and Hahnaman, County of Whiteside Is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Following Opening of the Bids a Contract May Be Awarded to the Lowest Responsible Bidder Whose Bid Is Found to Be in the Best Interests of the Drainage District. The Commissioners Reserve the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Any Informalities or Irregularities in the Bidding. The Requirements of the Prevailing Wage Act Apply to This Project. The Drainage District Utilizes the Prevailing Rate of Wages for Applicable Work in the Area as Determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. All Bids Must Be Accompanied by a Proof of Liability Insurance Contained in a Sealed Envelope Clearly Marked on the Outside "bid for Ditch Repair Project" and Sent to 511 Ryan Road, Harmon, Il 61042 With the Name and Address of the Bidder.
