Announcement ESG (herein referred to as "Construction Manager") on behalf of the Board of Education of Mokena School District 159 (herein referred to as "District") is seeking and accepting proposals for replacement of an air handling unit S-3 and installation of new FCU and exhaust fans in the Activity area. This will be a single prime contract, except for controls, based on a stipulated price. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified contractors for construction services in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained in the Request for Proposal. The District has identified the following objectives: Reduce the risks of having to perform emergency maintenance and/or repairs on failing equipment. Help to prevent loss of school days due to mechanical system failures The District's expectation during the construction process is to minimize disruption of the educational process. Ideally the goal is to complete the installation of the new ductwork and piping in the corridors between July 1 and August 9, 2022, after which time the majority of the work will be contained in the receiving room where S-3 and FCU-01 will be located. This back-of-the-house work is expected to create nominal disruption and be completed by October 15, 2022. The Contractor will develop preliminary project timelines (and related expectations or obligations of the District).
