C. Construction Manager: ESG III. Purpose and Objectives The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain proposals from qualified contractors for construction services in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained in the Request for Proposal. The District has identified the following objectives: Reduce the risks of having to perform emergency maintenance and/or repairs on equipment damaged by transient voltage. Help to prevent loss of school days due to mechanical or electrical system failures. I V.Project Timeline The District's expectation during the construction process is to minimize disruption of the educational process. Ideally the goal is to complete the installation of the installation of the grounding and SPD between July 1 and August 9, 2022. The Contractor will develop preliminary project timelines (and related expectations or obligations of the District). Any questions concerning this RFP must be submitted via e-mail on or before Friday, June 24 by 5:00 p.m. to: Construction Manager Representative: Name - Chris Philbrick, ESG Email: cphilbrick@energysystemsgroup.com Responses shall include at a minimum a completed Exhibit B - Proposal Form and any pertinent facts necessary for a proper evaluation of your response. All respondents will be required to successfully complete a contractor pre-qualification process with the construction manager before any subcontracts can be issued. Contractors are allowed to attend the bid opening in person while maintaining appropriate social distancing, with the following requirements: masks covering ones nose and mouth must be worn at all time while in the building, and all contractors must sign in prior to entry to the building. Proposals received after the date and time specified will be returned unopened. All proposals will become the property of the District.
Proposals shall be clearly marked "- RFP 06162022a- MES Grounding and SPD (Mokena Elementary School)" and shall clearly identify the firm submitting the proposal. Responding firm will bear all costs associated with preparing their response of this RFP and interviews, if any.
