As of March 18, 2024, per owner a design team has been identified. A general contractor has not been selected. Bidding just closed on the Oasis Park portion of the project and construction should begin by end of April 2024. There is not a timeline yet for the construction of Second Creek Farm Park. The City of Commerce City (City) is soliciting proposals from professional design entities Respondents for site analysis and selection, design, and construction drawings, for the construction of two municipal parks (Oasis in Second Creek Open Space the Oasis and Second Creek Farm Neighborhood Park), fitness stations and shade structures along the Highway 2 Multi-Use Path, and shade structures along the Second Creek Trail as described in this Request for Proposals (RFP). The selected Respondent shall be expected to complete the appropriate site analysis and site selection, design, and construction drawings as well as construction administration services throughout the buildout of all projects, as more fully detailed in the Scope of Services section of this RFP Services.
