Renovation of a transportation facility in Lakeland, Florida. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
**As of August 30, 2022,The City of Lakeland has cancelled the above referenced Invitation to Bid due to budget constraints. Accordingly, the City hereby rejects the bids that were received and provides notice of its intent to reissue a competitive solicitation in the future. ** The City of Lakeland Is Seeking Bids From Qualified Firms to Install New Glass Curtain Wall Systems at 3131 Flightline Drive and 3200 Flightline Drive at Lakeland Linder International Airport. Work Will Consist of Removing the Existing Systems, Installation of the New Systems, as Well as Touch-up Exterior and Interior Painting and Restoration of Any Damaged Landscaping Around the Facilities. Temporary Walls Will Need to Be Installed Ensuring Existing Tenants Have Safe Access to Their Workspaces and to Prevent Damage to the Building in the Event of Severe Weather. 3200 Flightline Drive Will Be Completed First Followed by 3131 Flightline Drive Unless the Firm Can Commit to a Shorter Timeframe With Both Facilities Under Construction at the Same Time. Questions regarding this invitation to bid should be in writing and should reference the above Bid number. Submit all questions to Ms. Linda Alspaugh, Purchasing Agent, via e-mail at purch@lakelandgov.net or fax (863) 834-6777. Liquidated damages shall be applied at the rate of $500.00 per day after the date of substantial completion.
