The White County Department of Finance, on behalf of the White County Solid Waste Department, is soliciting proposals for the operation and management of the White County Landfill located at 6010 Gum Springs Mountain Road in Sparta, Tennessee. The objective of this request for proposals is to obtain competitive proposals from reputable firms to enter into a multi-year agreement for the operation and management of the White County Landfill in Sparta, Tennessee. Proposals submitted should communicate the firms ability, experience, competence, and vision for the future of the White County Landfill. Deadline for Written Questions July 15, 2022 @ Noon Last Addendum Issued July 22, 2022 The resultant contract from this RFP shall have a multi-year initial term with multi-year extensions, if such extensions are agreeable to both parties. The county is open to negotiation on the exact years of the initial term and any built-in extension thereof. Proposing firms should include an initial proposed contract term in their response, which reflects the amount of time the firm believes is needed to make the venture successful. The owner (White County) further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the successful proposer, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional proposals.
