The Corporate 1 Demolition project includes the abatement and demolition of the existing Corporate 1 Hangar at Sugar Land Regional Airport (SGR). This project will demolish the 40 foot high, 40,000 sq. ft. steel aircraft hangar to enable relocation of the northern segment of Taxiway A. It is expected that the Contractor selected--and its respective subcontractors--have experience operating in an airport environment and restricted movement areas. The demolition site is located within a secured area of the airport and the contractor is required to keep the site secure at all times. Temporary security fencing will be required to contain Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from contaminating active airfield surfaces. Debris from elevated portions of the structure must be removed by chute, hoist, or other device that will convey debris to grade level in a controlled descent. Demolition methods must also include a means of controlling dust generated by deconstruction. With the exception of items specified by the Airport, the Contractor will be responsible for salvaging deconstructed materials, hauling the materials off site, and restoring the site to preconstruction condition. The work area shall be thoroughly cleaned, and the Contractor shall remove all waste materials and equipment from the job site within 24 hours of project completion.
