As of August 04, 2022, project has not been awarded yet. It is expected to be awarded sometime after August 16th. The Nicholas Park - Sports Field Lighting Project includes, but is not limited to, the sports field lighting product(s) and "pole in the air" installation of sports field lighting in Nicholas Park (6590 47th Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95823). The District has awarded a contract to a general contractor for the Nicholas Park Renovation Project but is releasing a notice inviting bids for the Nicholas Park - Sports Field Lighting Project. These projects will occur concurrently and will require coordination between the project teams. The general scope of work is outlined below. Please note that the scope of work outlined below may not be all encompassing, it is a general summary. Refer to the plans and technical specifications for additional information regarding the project scope. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of a Certificate of Deposit, Certified or Cashier's Check, Bidder's Bond or Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's Grand Total Bid Price. The Bid Guaranty will be retained by District and applied to any and all damages sustained by District in the event that the successful Bidder fails or refuses to enter into the Agreement awarded to it and to furnish all required bonds and Certificates of Insurance. Bids will be examined and reported to the Board of Directors of District within ninety (90) days of the bid opening. Except as permitted by applicable law, no Bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of bid opening. Each Bidder will be notified of any award of the Agreement by District. In connection with the performance of this Agreement, full compliance with all applicable safety and health standards and with all applicable laws and regulations concerning Equal Employment Opportunity and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be required. District hereby notifies all Bidders that it is the policy of District to ensure non-discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in the award and administration of contracts that it awards Attention is directed to the Contract Documents for complete details and bid requirements. Said documents, including bid forms, bonds, and this Notice, shall be considered as a part of any Contract made pursuant to this solicitation. Bidders may arrange to pick-up a complete set of bidding documents All questions prior to award of the Agreement shall be directed to the attention of the undersigned Contract Officer via email at vking@southgaterecandpark.net. The deadline for submissions of questions and clarifications concerning the Contract Documents is ten (10) days before the deadline for bid submission. Only signed Addenda issued by the District are binding. District intends to award the Agreement to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder based on the Base Bid Price. To the extent allowed by law, District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding procedure. District specifically reserves the right to not award the Agreement after the opening of bids.
