Site work and renovation of a civil project in Northbrook, Illinois. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of September 3, 2024, per owner, they have yet to advertise for construction bids. They anticipate this for later this year. Design team has not been identified. The Village of Northbrook Water Plant, located at 750 Dundee Road, utilizes large diameter iron pipes that are supported by ceiling anchors and metal bands to transport both treated and untreated water during the treatment process. However, the wet and corrosive environment of the Water Plant has caused the anchors and bands to display signs of corrosion. Additionally, the electrical conduit within the Water Plant has also exhibited corrosion and requires either partial or complete replacement. This Request for Proposal (RFP) aims to identify an engineering consultant who will assess the pipe supports, develop new supports where necessary, evaluate and plan the replacement of the existing electrical conduit, and design conduit routes for Category 6 data cabling throughout the Water Treatment Plant. Scope of Services: This RFP is issued to retain an engineer consultant who will complete a detailed survey of the pipe support systems at the Water Treatment Plant at 750 Dundee Road and 1. Identify deficiencies and design new pipe supports where needed; 2. Review and design for failed segments of existing electrical conduit where needed; 3.Design new conduit runs containing Category 6 data cable; 4.Prepare detailed plans and specifications for bidding.
