Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Ogdensburg, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; water / sewer project; and for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility.

Contract No. 1A - General Construction: Demolition and removal of existing paved and concrete surfaces; General site earthwork and storm water improvements associated with new and modified driveways; Installation of pier foundations for 70' truck scale and relocation of scale from another site; Construction of ~12'x14' addition to scale house with incidental foundation work; Construction of new 82'x90' pre-engineered fabric cover building with concrete foundation; Installation of compactor unit (relocated from another site). Contract No. 1B - Electrical Construction: Electrical systems associated with scale house addition and scale systems; Electrical systems associated with new transfer station fabric building to include power supply for compactor unit, block heaters, and lighting. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. All Contract Documents, except the Performance Bond, Labor & Materials Payment Bond, Certificate of Insurance and any Addenda, are contained in this binder. All Contract Documents, except the Contract Drawings, Performance Bond and Labor & Materials Payment Bond, and Certificate of Insurance must be submitted with the Bid. The Contract Documents are defined in the Agreement. Should the successful Bidder refuse or fail to execute the Contract and Bond within five (5) working days after receipt of notice of the acceptance of his Bid, the security deposited with his Bid shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages for such refusal or failure. The supplements to be provided shall be in accordance with prevailing practices in the locality. The amount for wages and for supplements listed in the schedule in these Contract Documents does not necessarily include all types of prevailing wages and supplements in the locality, and a future determination by the Commissioner of Labor may require the Contractor to pay increased wages or provide additional supplements. In accordance with Section 220-a of Article 8 of the State Labor Law, the New York State schedule of prevailing wages and supplements, as included in this Contract or as subsequently redetermined by the New York State Department of Labor, shall be specifically included in each and every Subcontract, regardless of tier, awarded by the Contractor or his Subcontractors. The prime contractor is responsible for any underpayments of prevailing wages or supplements by any subcontractor. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Bid if such investigation fails to satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is fully qualified to do the work.
