Removing and hauling approximately 500,000 gallons of settled sludge from the bottom of the Wastewater Treatment Facility Lagoon No. 1 and disposing of it at an approved Department of Environmental Protection site. The Lagoon will be dewatered by Waverly Township personnel prior to the removal of the sludge. Bidders must meet with Tom James (570-881-0009) Director of Public Works, before submitting bid proposal. Proposals must be upon forms furnished by Waverly Township and envelopes marked "Sludge Removal Lagoon 1". Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to Waverly Township. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder prior to contract award. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $200.00 per calendar day. Waverly Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
