Renovation of an educational facility in New Britain, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 89,527-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.

As of June 18, 2024, a construction manager has been identified and has released the project for sub bidding for numerous bid packages. Please contact the construction manager directly for document access. The work consists of abatement, demolition, site improvements, additions and a complete renovation of the existing Holmes Elementary School. For the bid packages identified above bidders are required to submit a Department ofAdministrative Services (DAS) Prequalification Certificate and Update (bid) Statement for the classification shown in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes. The Contractor shall hold a current "DAS Contractor Prequalification Certificate" from the Department of Administrative Services. These items shall be submitted with the bid or up to two business days after submission of the bid or the bid will be rejected. DAS prequalification is required of all subbidders, regardless of tier, with contract values in excess of one million dollars. All contractors and subcontractors requiring DAS certification must maintain the certification for the duration of the contract. This Project is covered under a Project Labor Agreement(PLA). All awarded bidders must comply with the PLA and execute a Letter of Assent. Bid packages designated (SBE) are set aside bid packages for DAS Certified small business owned firms. All set aside bidders shall submit a current DAS MBE Certificate with their bid or up to two business days after submission of the bid. Construction is expected to start Septemeber 5, 2024. Completion is expected June 30, 2026.
