Renovation of a mixed-use development in Montrose, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Montrose County School District invites Contractors to submit a proposal(s) for services related to a Conference Room Audio/Video Upgrade Project. The Owner will be selecting and managing the Contractor(s) for a variety of improvements per the design drawings, specifications and exhibits at the listed campus. Montrose County School District, Conference Room 930 Colorado Ave., Montrose CO 81401. The Montrose County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or cancel this RFP in its entirety. General Specifications This section provides general requirements for the design and installation of the AV system (AVS) and components relative to this RFP. The term AVS herein refers to the combination and the completion of all systems described in this RFP operating synchronously upon completion of the project. General Scope of Work Provide all labor, tools, supplies, materials, and equipment required for the design, installation, configuration, programming, and testing of a complete, turnkey, and operational system consisting of monitors, audio equipment, user interfaces, supporting equipment and all associated infrastructure, software, product licensing, and systems described herein and represented in the associated construction drawings. The Integrator shall perform a complete survey of the facility to identify all existing endpoints, cable and conduit pathways, and ensure that all equipment not defined in this scope of work will not be affected by any action performed during this project and continue to function. The Integrator shall insure all legacy hardware being replaced or retrofitted within the scope of this project including endpoints, cabling, power supplies, and any associated cable and conduit pathways are removed if not being reused in support of new installation or, if remaining, will function on the new system or systems. All labor required that may produce any noise shall be performed off hours and/or over weekends. All other work can be done during normal business hours. It is the intent for the integrator to provide a design based on the performance specifications in this document to be reviewed and approved by the owner and the owner's consultant. This design should also include a demonstration of the technology being installed to ensure all requirements are met. The Integrator shall install all equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and approved shop drawings. Purchase or any installation of equipment by the Integrator shall not be performed until approval of initial submittals is provided by the Consultant. The Integrator shall procure, install, configure, and maintain all AVS devices and components to ensure a functioning AVS per the scope of work within this document at completion of the project. The warranty and maintenance of all systems and devices implemented within the scope of this project shall be covered under the Integrator's warranty for installation and labor. The warranty costs shall be clearly shown within the proposal as a separate line item or section and shall consist of a one (1) year period following a written sign-off by the Owner of project acceptance and the completion of a one (1) month stabilization period. All bids require a five (5) year schedule for warranty and maintenance. The manufacturer's warranty for all applicable devices implemented within the scope of this project shall be clearly expressed by the Integrator in the proposal. Integrator Responsibilities: o AV Systems and Devices - including Monitors, extenders, amplifiers, finishing and patching of communication and control cabling, demolition of security devices as required, and all other security equipment. o Conduit & Infrastructure - including penetrations, and coring shall be the responsibility of the Electrical contractor. This includes infrastructure required for 120VAC. Integrator shall coordinate specific needs with electrician. o Low Voltage Cabling - including all network and communication cabling, speaker wiring, termination, and connectivity. This includes all physical medium installation, copper or fiber, and all cable terminating and patching. Coordination should also be done to provide documented certification testing of all cabling. Certificate of testing is required to be provided. o Fiber Optic Cabling - including all backbone cable requirements. o Electrical Cabling - via the Electrical Contractor, inclusive of all 120V or above electrical cabling installation and finishing, and all supporting hardware or infrastructure. Requirements to be reviewed and approved by the integrator before commencement of work. o Patching & Painting - including any required ceiling or wall patching or painting is the responsibility of the integrator.
