Asphalt, Asphalt Milling, and Overlay Projects 2022 CITY OF HORICON DodgeCounty, WI The City of Horicon is requesting proposals from qualified firms for the milling and installation of Hot-mix asphalt within the City of Horicon. The project includes selection of up to 4,285 feet of roadway asphalt milling and approximately 4,282 tons of asphalt pavements. o Selected Bidder will provide The City of Horicon proof of insurance for general liability $2 million, workers compensation, and auto insurance. o No proposal will be considered unless presented in a sealed envelope and accompanied by cash, bid bond, or cashier's check satisfactory to the city of Horicon, in the amount of ($500.00) made out in the name of the City of Horicon, Wisconsin, as Bid security. o The City of Horicon reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or any portion of this proposal and to accept only those that would be most advantageous to the city. All proposals shall remain valid for sixty (60) days after the opening of the proposals. o The Bidder to whom the contract for said work is awarded shall, within ten (10) days after receiving notice of such award, execute a contract with the owner, for the full and complete performance of all specified work therein. o In the event that said Bidder fails or refuses to execute said contract within a period of ten (10) days after receiving notice of such award, then the respective sum or sums deposited by the bidder shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages and not as forfeiture. It now being agreed that said sum is a fair estimate of the amount of damages that the owner will sustain in case said bidder fails to enter into a contract as herein provided. Upon the complete execution of said contract by the Bidder after said contract has been awarded, in accordance with all the terms and conditions herein above mentioned, all cash or certified checks deposited with the proposals will be returned to the respective bidders.
