The University of Cincinnati seeks qualifications for professional design services to renovate and expand existing locker room facilities and related supporting infrastructure for the Women's and Men's varsity basketball programs. The existing facilities are located on the third level of the Shoemaker Multipurpose Center. The expansion of the basketball facilities will be limited to adjacent interior spaces and the entire project will total approximately 10,000 square feet of existing interior space. The renovations will upgrade team hype rooms, locker rooms, wet areas, and athlete lounges including multi-purpose rooms, team dining, and related functions to support both Women's and Men's Basketball operations. Primary objectives include the following: Construction of new state-of-the-art locker rooms and lounge suites for Men and Women's Basketball programs that align with the Big 12 and other elite college basketball conferences in both amenity and function including: Team spaces that support effective athlete and coach interactions. Holistic amenities that encourage congregation and interaction amongst athletes and enhance the overall wellness of the programs. Creation of a recruiting tool that reinforces the unique opportunities of the University of Cincinnati brand: Graphics and related interior elements that help reinforce the brand of UC Basketball, its history and success, as well as future growth and the attitude of a Power Five and national stage environment Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Brian Phalen at brian.phalen@uc.edu with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please).
