Project adds a traffic signal, including signalized crosswalks, at the Port Republic Road/Bradley Drive intersection. Sidewalk and bike lane will be reconstructed. A median will be constructed on Port Republic Road along the entire segment between Bradley Drive and Devon Lane. A channelizing island will be added at Hunters Road/Port Republic Road intersection to prohibit left turns. Project was recommended by the Port Republic Road Safety and Operations Study, completed in 2019 in partnership with the Harrisonburg Rockingham Metropolitan Planning Organization.
