Sealed PROPOSALS, in duplication, will be received by Caroline County Maryland for Contract No. 1212D005.A01 - Caroline County Detention Center Renovations & Addition. The County is seeking qualified "Design-Build Contractors" to provide services for renovations to the County Detention Center. The scope of the project includes renovations to specific areas of the existing 32,000 gsf facility as well the addition of a Sally Port. The Affected project area will be approximately 12,100 sf and will include but not be limited to the following: Reconfiguring existing space to provide new male & female holding areas, a new infirmary, isolation treatment room, ADA restrooms, Women's segregation area, Program area, renovating and updating the control tower, and installing a new roof over the recreation area. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials for the scope of work identified in the RFP, bridging documents and in accordance with Federal and State guidelines. The successful proposer must post Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the proposals from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice to those proposers receiving plans.
