Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) is seeking proposals for the purchase and installation of replacement vaporization system boilers at NPU's satellite liquified natural gas (LNG) facility located at 10 Wisconsin Ave, Norwich, CT. The vaporization system at the LNG facility is an indirect-fired system, which first heats a water/glycol mixture and then pumps the heated mixture to an external heat exchanger that ultimately converts (vaporizes) stored liquid natural gas into gaseous natural gas that is sent out to the natural gas distribution system. The project also includes the removal and proper disposal of the existing boiler.
