Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Des Moines, Iowa. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Rehabilitation of Fleur Drive over Raccoon River Bridge (FHWA No. 003910). Professional services under this RFP include performing a Structural Evaluation to investigate current condition, document the progression of deterioration since past repairs, development of a detailed load rating and alternatives analysis to alter controlling end spans, reconfigure deck geometry to accommodate at least one 12-foot-wide shared-use trail, and provide plans and specifications for the bridge rehabilitation project. As of January 30, 2025, the Iowa Department of Transportation funding is expected to be used for construction with a preliminary budget of $3,500,000 and a target Iowa DOT letting Fall/Winter 2024. Construction is planned for fiscal year 2027/2028. However, the firm timeline have not been established.
