Base Bid: Chip sealing includes, but shall not be limited to, approximately 7,300 square yards of sweeping prior to chip seal, chip seal, signage, and work zone traffic control; and final cleanup required to complete construction. Project location includes Ann St and Meadow Lane. Mandatory Alternate Bid: Chip sealing includes, but shall not be limited to, approximately 6,400 square yards of sweeping prior to chip seal, chip seal, signage, and work zone traffic control; and final cleanup required to complete construction. Project location includes Ann St, Meadow Lane, and Anna Circle. All Work is included in a single prime contract. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. To demonstrate Bidder's qualifications to perform the Work, within five (5) days of Owner's request, Bidder shall submit written evidence establishing its qualifications. Bids must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to The City of Columbus in an amount of 5% of BIDDERs maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, or an electronic Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Bidder is required to upload a copy of the Bid security to portal and deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 48 hours after close of bid to Ruekert & Mielke, Inc., Attn: Jason P.
