The project site is located on the North Side of Huntington Street across from the intersection of Huntington Street and North Indiana Avenue next to the Black River in Watertown, New York and consisting of the removal of all plant life, loose mortar, cracked mortar, graffiti, mortar repointing, replacing missing stone, and cleaning the STREET SIDE ONLY of the Huntington Street Stone Retaining Wall and as further detailed in the Project Description of this bid. The successful contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount of not less than five per centum (5%) of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided for in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the total amount of the accepted bid and in such form and having as surety thereon such surety company or companies as are approved by the City Council. Insurance carrier must have principal office in New York State or be authorized to do business in New York State. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract.
