East B Street Tank 1,000,000-gallon Ground Tank.
Tower drive Tank 1,000,000-gallon Ground Tank.
Pine Mtn Tank 500,000-Gallon Ground Tank. Visual inspect each tank exterior
Inspect each tank interior with (ROV) Remotely Operated Vehicle.
Must video all tank inspections.
Contractor must supply City of Iron Mountain with a copy of each video and inspection forms.
Summary of recommended repairs needed for each tank.
Tanks must remain on-line during inspections.
Contractor is responsible for all power, tools and supplies to complete inspections.
Contractor is responsible for any and all permits to do the inspections.
Contractor must give a 1 week notice of start date for the inspections.
The City of Iron Mountain is not responsible for any portion of the inspection Exterior of Tank inspection
Foundation: settling, cracks, deterioration
Exterior coating: paint, leaks, cracks
Water Level Indicator: operable, cable access opening protected
Overflow pipe: operable and sealed at outlet
Access ladder: loose bolts or rungs
Roof: ponding, leaks, cracks
Air vents: proper design, screened, sealed edges and seams
Roof hatch: proper design, locked, hinge bolts secure, hatch seal on door Interior Tank Inspection
Water quality: insects, floating debris, sediment on bottom
Interior walls and support posts: cracks, deterioration, broken ladder rungs
Piping: broken brackets, over all condition
Overflow pipe: free of debris, proper gap from roof
