The Planning Division of the City of San Carlos is seeking qualifications from experienced individual arborist consultants, arborist firms, or consultant teams, also referred as City-retained Arborist(s) throughout the RFP, with demonstrated experience in reviewing Protected tree removal/pruning permits and tree protection plans both in conjunction with or without development applications. The development applications could range from, but not limited to, new single-family homes to large commercial, or mixed-use projects. In particular, consultants with appropriate certification, demonstrated experience and expertise in tree identification, tree protection measures, tree maintenance, landscaping, and sustainability are encouraged to apply. The consultant(s) is expected to become very well versed with the Citys Protected Tree Ordinance (Ordinance) to help in its effective implementation.
