Description of Work: The work for which proposals are invited will consist of, in general, but shall not be limited to, the following: The project involves the removal of existing pavement, earth excavation, base aggregate installation and prep, underdrains and storm sewer installation, new tennis court and pickleball courts, as well as court markings and coat. Location of Work: The work is located at Town Hall (1155 E. IL Rt 22, Lake Zurich, IL). Subcontracting of Work: Subcontracting portions of the work will be allowed pursuant to Section 108.01 of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", Illinois Department of Transportation, latest edition. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Bidder or subcontractor who, in the opinion of the Engineer, does not have adequate experience, personnel or equipment to perform the work in a timely, efficient and satisfactory manner. Wages of Employees: Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Department of Labor or determined by a court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract. Bid Security: Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check or Certified Check for five percent (5%) of the total bid made payable to Ela Township shall accompany the bid. 8.
