The Board of Education for Sullivan C.U.S.D. #300 will receive sealed bids from prequalified contractors for: BUILDING ADDITION Sullivan Elementary School 910 North Graham Street Sullivan, Illinois. authorized postponement thereof for the Complete Work. All General Contractors planning to bid shall submit to the Architect Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Form A305), Certificate of Insurance with contractor's current limits, proposed construction superintendent's resume, and list of completed projects of similar scope within the past 5 years including project cost, description of work, timeline, and Owner and Architect references. Generally, the work includes: an 25,500 sq. ft. addition at Sullivan Elementary School and minimal renovations within the existing building. Construction for the project is scheduled to commence promptly upon Board approval.The Owner will open and read aloud all bids immediately after the specified closing time. All bidders are invited to attend the formal opening of bids. Bids shall include: 1. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. 2. Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. 3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. Specifications and Drawings will be available by email from the Office of the Architect, Graham & Hyde Architects, Inc., 1010 Clocktower Drive, Springfield, Illinois, 62704, 217-787-9380 or Central Illinois Plan Room, 1620 South Fifth Street, Springfield, Illinois, 62703, 217-679-1077. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, made payable to Board of Education, Sullivan CUSD #300. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Board of Education for Sullivan CUSD #300 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bid shall be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening of bids.
