Project Category Code: Water and Wastewater Facilities, Water Tower Rehabilitation and Repair, Painting Description: The successful Bidder shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to perform the following work: A. Remove all existing coatings (interior and exterior) and perform necessary surface preparation for new coatings. B. Prepare surfaces, perform necessary maintenance, and complete 3rd party testing: Holiday testing, dry film testing, steel inspections, and 2 hour temperature/humidity readings prior to application of new coatings. C. Coat entire exterior tank surface in accordance with attached specification section 09900. D. Coat entire interior tank surface in accordance with attached specification section 09900. E. Install a ladder extension from the bottom of the existing ladder to 1.0' above ground level on the tank in accordance with attached specification section 02520. F. Install personal fall arrest system to the existing and new ladder extension beginning at a height of 24 feet from the ground surface and extending to the top of the tank ladder in accordance with attached specification section 02520. G. Furnish and install a 42 inch high guardrail, kick plate, and hinged, self-closing gate along the perimeter of the roof of the tank in accordance with attached specification section 02520. H. Disinfect tank in accordance with KDHE I. Perform necessary site clean-up and demobilize all equipment from site.
