Renovation of a residential development in Horton, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The selected contractor will be responsible for: 1. Completing rehabilitation work on selected residential properties, including but not limited to: o Roofing o Electrical o Plumbing o Window replacement o Energy efficiency upgrades Ensuring compliance with Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) requirements for lead-based paint work safe practices. 3. Working collaboratively with property owners and city staff to ensure timely completion of all assigned projects. 4. Meeting all CDBG program requirements, including project timelines, reporting, and adherence to environmental and safety standards. Interested contractors must meet the following qualifications: o Certification by KDHE in lead-based paint work safe practices. o Proven experience with housing rehabilitation projects of similar scope and complexity. o Familiarity with CDBG-funded projects and their requirements. o Appropriate licensure and insurance in the State of Kansas. o Strong references from previous projects, preferably from municipal or federally funded projects. A copy of the contractor's current license and proof of insurance. The City of Horton will review all submissions and make a selection based on qualifications, experience, and ability to meet project requirements. A decision will be announced on Monday, March 3, 2025. The City of Horton reserves the right to reject any and all submissions and to waive any informalities in the selection process.
