The project consists offurnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other miscellaneous items to complete flood hazard reduction and floodplain restoration improvements east of the middle-reach Reecer Creek near its crossing at Dolarway Road including creation of a 2,550 LF setback levee, creation of 5,300 LF of overflow swales, new Dolarway Road crossing, utility improvements along Dolarway Road, and additional work as shown in the Plans. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposa] deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount ofsuch bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Ellensburg. The engineers estimate for the project is $2,000,000 to $2,100,000, plus tax. The City of Ellensburg, Washington, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. Responsibility and competency of bidders and their subcontractors will be considered in making the award.
