Renovation of an educational facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Dental School (DS) Clinic Roof Repairs and Modifications All questions must be submitted in writing and will be answered via addendum. If any person contemplating submitting a bid is in doubt of the meaning of any part of the specifications, plans or other proposed contract documents and/or desired approval of "or equal" products, they may submit to Michael Williams e-mail at MWIL34@LSUHSC.EDU or fax to 504-717-2901 a written request for an interpretation or prior approval not later than NOON on Thursday, July 14, 2022. Any interpretation of documents and prior approvals will be made only by addendum duly issued and mailed or delivered to each bidder receiving a set of the plans and specifications. LSUHSC will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretation of the specifications or proposed documents. Bid Security: FOR BIDS OF $250,000 OR GREATER...LSUHSC shall reject any bid not accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond written with a surety company authorized to do and doing business in the State of Louisiana. "Bank Checks" are not acceptable. The bond or check shall be for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid and shall be drawn in favor of the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College. The Contractor agrees, if awarded the contract, to execute and deliver to LSUHSC with the contract, a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to the contract sum, and agrees that such bonds will be secured through a company able to meet the requirements of Louisiana RS 38:2219. 1. It is the intent to provide a 100% turnkey project ready for occupancy upon completion. Items not mentioned in the specifications nor shown on the drawings but clearly necessary for occupancy and to complete the space must be provided and in good working order and 100% operational. 2. Provide all labor, material, equipment and expertise necessary to build-out the designated areas in accordance with the attached drawings, project manual and specifications herein. Main Roof: 3. Remove loose debris and ductwork. 4. Remove fan and motor F53-A (Leave Support Structure). 5. Remove and cap stainless steel ductwork for fan F53-A at mechanical chase wall. 6. Remove galvanized ductwork between fan F53-A and F53 (Leave Support Structures). 7. Remove fan and motor F53 (Leave Support Structure) 8. Remove and cap stainless steel ductwork for fan F53 at roof curb. 9. Remove galvanized ductwork between fan F53 and Penthouse (Leave Support Structures). Cap galvanized ductwork at Penthouse wall penetration. 10. Replace barometric/gravity dampers at Penthouse Wall (x5). 11. Replace round and square flexible duct connections for fan F41. 12. Repair damaged waterproofing membrane at west-northwest mechanical chase. Repair/Replace damaged lightning protection system components. Penthouse Roof: 13. Remove/Replace existing 2-ply modified bitumen roofing system and patches, including 1- 1/2" thick rigid insulation board, 1" thick perlite insulation, wood blocking, and related base flashing down to the existing concrete deck and prepare concrete deck to receive new modified bitumen roofing system (appx. 73.33 SQ). 14. Remove/Replace existing metal cap/counter flashing at Penthouse Roof (appx. 386.00 LF). 15. Remove and salvage lead flashing at existing plumbing vents for reinstallation as required for new modified bitumen roof system. Replace damaged lead flashing that cannot be salvaged. 16. Remove and replace existing damaged lightning protection system components, including air terminals, grounding rods, and connectors as required for installation new modified bitumen roof system. Salvage components, where feasible, for reinstallation or provide new lightning protection system components for certification.
