General 1.2 Construction contract to Repair Roofing on Main Bldg RPI 10056808 and Roof Repair for Annex Bldg RPI 10056807. Construction will take place at the Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office, 1936 California Avenue, Klamath Falls, OR 97601-2061 1.3 Purpose is to fix roofing defects on both building to prevent further structural and internal office leaks from further damage to office furnishing and equipment. 1.4 Contractor must have the capabilities to service these types of building and facilities, and possess industry standard qualifications to perform contractual services in a federal office work environment. It is the contractor's responsibility to obtain all necessary permits and certifications for specified work. 2. Place of Performance and Period of Performance 2.1 Location: Construction will take place at the Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office (Main/Annex Buildings), 1936 California Avenue, Klamath Falls, OR 97601-2061. 2.2 Normal work hours: at the station are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays. Coordinate with staff if access to the site is required. In the event of emergencies, Contractor shall provide contact information. 2.3 Non-duty hours: include week nights, weekends, and Government holidays (New Year's Day, Martin Luther King JR.s's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day). 2.4 Period of Performance: Work shall be begin within ten (10) calendars from the Award, Notice To Proceed by Contracting Officer/Contracting Officer Representative and shall be completed by 30 Sep 2022 (60) calendars after receipt of Notice To Proceed. 3. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform delivery, installation and maintenance as defined in this Statement of Work. 3.1 Main Building: Metal Roof Repairs, Sealants and Mortar work. 3.1.1 Metal Roof Repair: A. Prep and Seal all pipes penetrations and units B. Install permanent fall protection anchors at ridge - Replace screws at bottom edges, valleys, penetration's - Replace all foam closure strip at ridge C. Repair damage panels at bottom of valleys 3-4 locations D.Replace screens at bird blocks to allow air flow. 3.1.2 Chimney Repair: A.Remove loose mortar/tuck point new mortar where removed B. Install new metal cap at top of brick chimney 3.2 Annex Building: Shingle and Ventalitation Roofing Repairs 3.2.1 Annex Building Roof Repairs: A. Tear off existing roof (1 layer) Removal and disposal of existing roofing material. B. Inspect and replace any damaged Plywood or OSB C. Verify existing ventilation is adequate and functioning properly, add insulation baffles, soffit vents and or GAF Intake Pro to bring ventilation to code. D. Install metal edging to all roof edges. E. Install ice and water shield from drip edge 2' past interior wall line and 3' at penetrations and valleys. F. Install double coverage synthetic underlayment to all other roof areas. G. Install starter strip to all roof edges. H. Install Pabco Premier shingles, 6 nail shingles for high wind warranty. I. Install Standard pipe flashing. J. Install ridge vent for attic exhaust ventilation. K. Install ridge cap. L. Verify function of all kitchen and bath vents. 3.3 Clean up and haul away all debris and unused materials. 4. Inspection and Acceptance 4.1 Comply with the USFWS Region 1/7/8 General Engineering Requirements within the base parent contract requirements. 4.2 The work shall be accepted with all the elements are completed and described herein within and in accordance with any parent contract specification. Work will be inspected to assure compliance with all contract documents. 5.
