Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Concord, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
This project consists of some land acquisition on the northwest side of the airport, planning, engineering and, ultimately, the construction of a General Aviation (GA) complex. The GA T-hangars, flight schools, etc. would be relocated to this complex As of October 20, 2025, this project is included in the City of Concord's Fiscal Year 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Plan. Information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established. Funding is allotted for construction starting in 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
