The proposed Work is officially known as the "CITY OF OTTAWA 2022 LASALLE STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT" and is further described as follows: The Work generally includes the installation of an approximate 40 feet of 6 inch diameter water main within a 14" auger bored steel casing pipe and an approximate 53 feet of 6 inch diameter water main using conventional construction methods, associated appurtenances, and restoration. The City of Ottawa encourages minority business firms to submit Bids and the successful contract Bidder to use minority businesses as Subcontractors for suppliers, equipment, services, and construction. The Proposal Guarantee shall include the Base Bid and all Alternate Bids (if applicable). Not less than the prevailing minimum rate of wages as found by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing Work under this Contract. The Contractor shall conform to the requirements of a "Responsible Bidder" as defined by City of Ottawa Ordinance No. 28-2010. All Contractors and Subcontractors must register ($100.00 fee) annually to work in the City of Ottawa. Contractors must also furnish a license and a $10,000.00 permit bond. The City of Ottawa reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all Proposals.
