**As of September 21, 2022, the award amount is $200,239.18. The purpose of this Solicitation is to solicit bids from qualified, licensed and experienced contractors and enter into a contract with the successful Bidder to provide all the necessary labor and materials, equipment, services and incidentals, including all associates site work and all appurtenant work to complete the construction of the parking lot consisting of 42 total parking spaces on NE 126th Street. Any questions and/or requests for clarification regarding this Solicitation shall be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Department via email at purchasing@northmiamifl.gov. Bidders must clearly understand that the only official answer or position of the City will be the one issued by the Purchasing Department. Deadline For Additional Information & Clarification Friday, July 29, 2022, by no later than 3:30 P.M. (Local Time) Bonds shall be submitted with the Bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Upon award of the Bid, the successful Bidder(s) may be required to furnish to the City, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond for 100% of the total Bid submitted, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida and shall comply with Florida Statute 287.0935 to be in the form of a Cashier's Check, made payable to the City of North Miami; a bond written by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida and shall comply with State Statue 287.0935; or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit. If the latter is chosen, it must be written on a bank located in Miami-Dade County, be in the amount of the Contract and should clearly and expressly state that it cannot be revoked until express written approval has been given by the City. The City, to draw on same, would merely have to give written notice to the bank with a copy to the successful Contractor Bidders are placed on notice that failure to achieve Final Completion of this project within ninety (90) calendar days from NTP shall authorize the City to charge and deduct from the Contract amount owed to the awarded Bidder a daily amount of $250.00 will be deducted from any compensation due to the contractor as liquidated damages for each and every day which exceeds the deadline for completion. Final completion of this project must be achieved within ninety (90) calendar days from the City’s issuance of Notice-to-Proceed (NTP)
