As of September 28, 2022, project is on hold. No definite date for the rebid. For the construction of the NEW EMS BUILDING, located east of Ailey, Georgia. Bids in order to be considered must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. This bid security shall become payable to the Owner only if the bidder to whom award is made should fail to execute contract with the Owner and furnish bonds in accordance with the terms of his proposal within ten (l0) days after notification of award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty-five (35) days after date of opening. The contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. Facsimiles of Bid Bond and Bid Form will not be accepted. The Contractor will deliver to the Owner a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amounts equal to l00% of the total contract price. Bonds will be executed by the Contractor, as principal, and a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. AIA document A312- 2010. Bidders are required to state the number of days required to achieve Substantial Completion of the Work. Consideration will be given to the stated time of completion when reviewing Bids submitted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities and informalities, to retain discretion in adoption of alternates and to re-advertise. Addendum #1 & the Geotechnical Report have been issued as of 8-25-2022. The work under this contract includes the construction of the EMS Building for the
Montgomery County Board of Commissioners and is located at 208 Earth Saver Drive, Ailey
GA 31410.
B. The project consist of 4,650 total square feet of concrete block walls, split face masonry
veneer with metal siding, standing seam metal roof and slab on grade construction. Site
work includes paving for parking, paving for the entrance drive to Hwy. 280, a septic tank and
field along with all drainage and grading work.
