It is the intent of the Kent County Road Commission to contract the furnish and installation of their shelving and storage requirements for their new Central Complex at 1900 4 Mile Road NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive irregularities therein, and to accept any bids which, in the opinion of the Board, may be most advantageous and to the best interest of the County. This contract will be considered for award on August 23, 2022. All alternates and questions must be emailed to purchasing@kentcountyroads.net by August 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM. KCRC will issue an addendum with the responses to those questions and alternate approvals no later than August 10, 2022, at 3:00 PM. As the new Central Complex has a substantial completion date of approximately April 2023, the Road Commission will be looking to furnish the buildings, as they complete, with the necessary shelving and racking when possible. Please expect for the furnishing and installation of the shelving and pallet racking to start in the cold/warm storage building by September 23, 2022 (TBD) with the remainder of the contract being completed by April 30, 2023. Installation details shall be coordinated with the owner prior to arrival on-site. The principal contact for this invitation is KCRC's Purchasing Manager Andrew Nordstrom. The awarded contractor must remain in contact with the Project Managers and will be coordinating the delivery and installation schedule with them as well.
