Renovations to the Falmouth Police Station, 750 Main St., Falmouth, MA 02540 General Description of the Work: The project includes the following: 1. The Falmouth Police Station was first constructed in 1960, it has been added to several times. It is a brick veneer masonry two story building with a full basement, wood framed interior partitions and wood framed roof. 2. Construction includes: a. Concrete slab repairs, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, millwork, thermal insulation, new solid core, factory finished wood doors and hollow metal frames, and hardware, bath accessories, painting, gypsum board assemblies, and asphalt roofing. b. Finishes include floor and wall tiling, acoustic panel ceilings, resilient flooring and base, painting, and glass partitions. c. Work also includes mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical system modifications and security/IT components. 3. Project will be constructed under a single contract. See Division 01, Section "Summary of Multiple Contracts" for a description of work included and for the responsibilities of the Contractor. Every bid submitted shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check or a bid bond issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Town of Falmouth. The amount of this bid shall be 5% of the amount of the bid. TIME OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION Time is of the essence in this work. The bidder agrees that if the bid is accepted, the work will proceed promptly and diligently. The date of Substantial Completion shall be no later than June 1, 2023 or 230 days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
