The pavement needs treatment to extend its service life and structures need to be replaced. Perpetuation project to mill 1.5" and overlay 3" of HMA of 15.42 miles of USH 53 from USH 10 W to Old Town Hall Road, Towns of Summer, Unity, Clear Creek, Washington, and the City of Eau Claire, in Eau Claire County. Additional work includes replacing B-18-0070 and B-18-0071 with single-span bridges, extending the west end of box culvert C-18-3188, cattle pass removal, beam guard replacement, adding a right turn lane at CTH I (south), clearing, gravel shouldering, culvert replacements, culvert extensions, culvert cleaning, culvert endwall replacements, ditch cleaning, curb ramp replacements, spot curb & gutter replacement, and pavement marking. Construct under traffic utilizing single-lane flagging operations for resurfacing. Construct bridge replacements under detour.
