Fuel mitigation works are required via manual thinning, hand pruning, debris piling, and waste burning for shaded fuel breaks located in Kluskus with a total estimated area of 15.5 hectares. Project areas are subject to change from results of archaeology assessments with a compensatory clause for substantial change outlined in Article 10 of the contract. This treatment is one of three fuel reduction projects being advertised in 2022 on BC BID by the Quesnel District, totaling 43.4 hectares (see overview map). Although viewing is optional for this contract, the Bidder is recommended to view the Work Site prior to submitting the Tender. Bidders are also advised to contact the contract coordinator before the question deadline on August 7, 2022, at 11:00PM (23:00) should any questions or ambiguities arise. There will be no information meeting held for this contract. Tenders must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package. The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. This solicitation is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA), the Canada Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America on Government Procurement (CUSPA), and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA). If the Ministry posts any addendum to the Tender Documents it will be made by issuing an addendum: a)where Tender Documents were provided directly by the Ministry to bidders (not obtained from BC Bid(R)), addendum to the Tender Documents will be sent by the Ministry to all registered package holders; or b)where Tender Documents were obtained from BC Bid(R), the Ministry will post any addendum on BC Bid(R). Bidders are solely responsible to continually monitor the BC Bid(R) website on an ongoing basis to keep themselves informed of any addendum.
