Completion should be well before Feb. 1st, 2023 The Juneau County Forestry and Parks Department is soliciting sealed bids for the following snowmobile bridge project: Retro-fit Railroad Bridge for snowmobile use: Location: Elroy, WI Project entails: 1) Removal and disposal of existing deck and railroad ties for half width of railroad bridge (west half). 2) Replace deteriorated portions of masonry backwall at both abutments. 3) Retro-fit half bridge width with a 12 ft. x 110 ft. (approx.) recreational snowmobile bridge on existing I-beams or retro-fit half bridge width with transverse timber deck panels attaching to I-beams to provide 12 ft. wide x 110 ft. long (approx.) bridge path. Retro-fit bridge is required to meet WI DNR Snowmobile Bridge Guidelines and include bridge safety railings. Please list the cost of materials, labor, equipment and any other associated costs including disposal. Bridge construction will follow DNR Snowmobile Bridge Guidelines and proposals will be accepted contingent upon receiving sufficient DNR grant funding and permits.
