The Commissioners of Public Works of the City of Charleston, South Carolina (Owner) is soliciting a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from Professional Land Surveying Consultants (Firms) interested in the opportunity to submit a proposal to provide professional services for the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Survey Support Project. The work to be performed consists of collection of sanitary sewer manhole horizontal coordinates (Northing and Easting) of the center of the manhole rim referenced to S.C. State Plane NAD 83 2011, diameter of each manhole, elevation of each manhole rim, invert elevation of each incoming and outgoing pipe located inside the manhole referenced to NGVD 1929, diameter of each incoming and outgoing pipe, general orientation of each incoming and outgoing pipe, materials of construction of each incoming and outgoing pipe, field notes, and CAD files to support CWS' wastewater model development. All survey work must be performed under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor licensed in the state of South Carolina and shall conform to the Standards of Practice Manual for Surveying in South Carolina. Responses to this RFQ will be evaluated to identify Firms with the requisite experience, qualifications, and resources to complete the Project successfully in accordance with project requirements specified by the Owner. The Owner does not have any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or sufficiency of the Application, including any Addenda, obtained from any other source. The Owner reserves the right to amend the RFQ at any time and only those Firms registered with CWS will receive amendments. All interested firms are required to submit five (5) hardcopies of their SOQ with the required materials, along with an electronic copy on a USB drive. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
