Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Natick, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 2,000-square-foot military facility; communication facility; data center facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of November 20, 2023, construction has not started yet and there is not an estimated time for construction to begin. A detailed scope has not yet been released. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement for Construction Services for the Building 1 NEC Admin Renovation project at the Natick Soldier System Center (NSSC) located in Natick, Massachusetts. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The project is planned to be issued in the late Winter 2022 with construction to take begin in early 2023. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Location: Natick Soldier System Center (NSSC), Building #1 in Natick, MA. The NSSC has numerous government agencies including the Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) which one of the leading entities within the Government conducting research on for the Army to advance the readiness of the military units. As part of the mission, the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) manages information resources and information technology for the installation and its tenants, including CCDC. See attached map of the installation and the specific location of Building #1. USACE is developing a construction package that involves a complete renovation of the Network Enterprise Center's (NEC) administration office space. The scope of work for this contract includes but isn't limited to: Full renovation includes demolition of a portion of the data center. Expansion of the existing administration area. Full build out and installation of a mechanical room. Full removal of all existing pieces within the space including ceiling utilities and the raised flooring along with the buried utilities. Relocation of utilities to facilitate new architectural layout. Removal of approximately 2,000 SF of ACM and tiling. New DOAS heating/cooling unit with a separate chilling and hot water system to be included. Demolition of existing Inergen fire system and replace with new pre-action fire suppression system. New furniture and telecommunications/data connections throughout the space. This project will occur on an active military installation, therefore, will include significant equipment and personnel management requirements to minimize impacts to the surrounding facilities and on-going activities. The contractor will also have a defined work area with limited access and all contractor personnel shall be screened for security purposes. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification (i.e. HUBZone, small business, etc.), as well as qualifications and experience in performing the work components stated above. Please include at least three specific examples of the firm's experience performing the work requirements stated above. Proof of bonding capability is required. Responses are limited to three pages. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided.
