The Scope of Work is intended to give a basic description of the work to be performed, the materials to be supplied, and the tasks to be completed by the contractor. The attached map shows the location of the main parking lot, lot #1 and lot #2. Mobilization and Maintenance of Traffic for alternate #1 and alternate #2 is subsidiary to the Base Bid Main Parking Lot. BASE BID MAIN PARKING LOT - Approximately 46,445 Square Feet Shim pavement average 1.5 inches that meets the NHDOT 2016 Standard Specifications and the City of Laconia Asphalt Specifications. Overlay pavement one (1) inch that meets the NHDO1 2016 Standard Specifications and the City of Laconia Asphalt Specification. Trim 6-foot pavement joints. Tackifier emulsion applied uniformly by a vehicle that meets the NHDOT 2016 Standard Specifications. ALTERNATE #1, PARKING LOT #1 - Approximately: 6,387 Square Feet- Overlay pavement one (1) inch that meets the NHDOT 2016 Standards and the City of Laconia Asphalt Specifications, Trim 6-foot pavement joints Tackifier emulsion applied uniformly by a vehicle that meets the NHDOT 2016 Standard Specifications, ALTERNATE #2, PARKING LOT #2 - Approximately: 22,000 Square Feet Overlay pavement one (1) inch that meets the NHDOT 2016 Standards and the City of Laconia Asphalt Specifications. Trim 6-foot pavement joints. Tackifier emulsion applied uniformly by a vehicle that meets the NHDOT 2016 Standard Specifications The City of Laconia reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or any part thereof, to waive any formality in the process, and to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the City. Failure to submit all information called for may be sufficient grounds for disqualification. Performance and Payment Bonds are required when a construction or service contract is awarded in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The following bonds or security shall be delivered to the City and shall become binding on the parties upon the execution of the contract: (1) A performance bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the City, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract for the full term of the contract; and (2) A payment bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the City, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided in the contract. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract for the full term of the contract.
